3 Day Reset - Update

Day 2 of my three day reset.  So far so good.  I'm a little hungrier today, so that could be a challenge. :)  We'll see.  I had 3 shakes yesterday and an apple - I need some solid food in my belly during the day.  I had a sensible dinner.  My total calorie intake was 1300 (which is low for me - I'm 5'10 and if I lie in bed all day and do nothing, I burn 1500 calories).  I dropped 2.1 pounds.  In one day.  So, I'm happy about that.  I assume that's mainly water weight, so we'll see how tomorrow looks.  :)  


I did mention that this is a 3 day reset.  And regardless of how successful I am, I will not extend past that.  When I eat this low in calories for extended periods of time, I will lose weight (of course), but my metabolism slows.  So the minute I start eating normal amounts (even 1600 to 1700 calories which is a lower day for me as I'm pretty active), I gain it all back and then some.  What's the point of torturing myself only to gain it back?  Thursday I will have a 2000 calories day just to let my body know that we have not entered a time of famine.
